Anonymous, confidential, accessible information, counselling and referral telephone services in all the eleven official languages, in South Africa.

The line is managed by LifeLine South Africa, operating 24 hours a day throughout the year.

In addition to the telephone counselling offered by a number of centres around the country, the national counselling line receives an average of 200 calls a day, allowing callers to discuss a range of challenges from trauma and suicide to relationship issues.

loveLife‪‪ is South Africa’s leading ‬HIV prevention ‬youth ‬leadership development programme reaching over 1 million ‬teens a year. (Since 1999)‬‬

While loveLife’s National Office is located in Sandton, Gauteng, the organisation has offices in all nine provinces of the country and in 23 different regions to ensure that its outreach and support programmes reach youth across South Africa.

In addition, a national network of 22 loveLife Y-Centres (youth centres) provide educational, recreational and sexual health services in resource-poor communities throughout the country. To further extend our reach, loveLife volunteers – known as groundBREAKERs and mpintshis – also implement the organisaton’s programmes in 8000 schools and approximately 900 hubs, which include community-based organisations and youth friendly clinics in rural, urban and peri-urban areas nationwide.
